Mel was more than a leader—she was a guiding light, a steady voice, and a compassionate force behind our mission. From the very beginning, she poured her heart into building a space where individuals could find support, encouragement, and the courage to take their next step forward.
Her commitment was unwavering, her presence impactful, and her belief in people truly transformative.
Mel had a rare gift: she saw potential where others saw obstacles. She uplifted those who felt lost, spoke life into those who felt defeated, and reminded us all that purpose can be rediscovered, even in the most difficult seasons.
Her passion for helping others aligned deeply with the mission of The Rescue Haven, and her influence is woven into the very foundation of who we are today.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy lives on through every life touched, every story rewritten, and every person who finds hope through our work. We are forever grateful for her leadership, her love, and her service.

Henrietta is the Principal Owner of Everything Administrative & Fast Tax Services and serves as the Registered Agent and Treasurer for The Rescue Haven. She holds a BS in Business Administration (Accounting) and a Master’s in Professional Development (Organizational Management). She is also the Overseer of The Redeemer’s House, a virtual non-denominational ministry established in 2019.

Tammy is a retired educator based in Reno, Nevada, with 30 years of service in the Washoe County School District as a teacher, instructional leader, and high school principal. She continues to support her community by assisting schools in need of instructional guidance and is passionate about helping individuals reach their full educational potential.
Originally from Ennis, Texas, Tammy is a proud graduate of Ennis High School and values family above all. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, writing, working out, and traveling.
